Amrit our first teen and male @SSSbuddies has been awarded the Duke of Edinburgh Youth Award - Bronze Level. His community service component was with #SaveScrapNSew. Proud moment for us here at SSS. 23rd September 2016.
Update : Amrit has continued to work with SSS and has proudly completed his Silver Level requirements by working more than 26 hours. He campaigns. creates awareness and actively participates in SSS Events.
Our Teen buddy program comprises of more than 100 buddies who have learnt how to sort, iron, cut and sew over seven sessions of two hours each. All activities and learnings are documented with photo and video along with written journals. Before the end of their program they also share their SSS journey with their parents. There is no gender bias and we believe in acquiring a skill for life. Team work, patience and new respect for the environment is just an added benefit that teen buddies accure.
